Care for leg pain and nerve-related symptoms that may originate from the lower back or pelvis, with a focus on movement, comfort, and functional improvement.
People experiencing pain, discomfort, or altered sensation travelling into the buttock, thigh, or leg.
Prolonged sitting, bending, lifting, driving, or reduced movement tolerance.
Supporting spinal and pelvic function, easing nerve sensitivity where appropriate, and improving movement confidence.
Leg pain can arise from a range of mechanical and functional factors. Symptoms are often influenced by spinal movement, surrounding tissues, and how load is managed through the lower back and pelvis.
Care may focus on addressing contributing mechanical factors, supporting comfortable movement, and guiding gradual return to activity. Care may involve SOT based therapy, laser therapy, structural rehabilitation and adjustment as appropriate.
Care begins with understanding symptom behaviour, aggravating factors, and functional impact, alongside physical assessment to guide appropriate care.
A plan is shaped around findings, symptom response, and individual tolerance to movement and load.
This may include supportive hands-on care, movement strategies, and progressive exercises to improve confidence and function.
Care is reviewed over time to ensure it remains appropriate and responsive to progress.
During your first visit, we will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition. This means discussing your health history and any specific issues you’re facing. Following that, we will perform physical, neurological and orthopaedic tests to better understand your needs.
Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. It’s important that you can move freely during your assessment and treatment, so dress in a way that makes you feel at ease. During the new patient, females will be offered a gown and if X-rays are needed, bra’s may have to be removed.
In most cases, treatment does not begin at the first visit.
Your initial appointment is focused on understanding what’s going on. We’ll take a detailed history, carry out a physical examination and, where appropriate, perform or arrange any necessary diagnostic tests. This allows us to build a clear picture of your condition and decide on the most appropriate course of care. From there we build a tailor-made treatment plan specifically for you.
We’ll talk you through our findings and discuss a personalised treatment plan at your Report of Findings appointment. This gives you time to understand your options, ask questions and give informed consent before any treatment begins.
However, if you’re experiencing an acute problem (rather than a long-standing condition) — for example pain that has started within the last day or two — we’ll always do our best to help where it’s safe and appropriate. This may include gentle care, advice, or guidance on how to manage your symptoms until your Report of Findings.
Our priority is to make sure any treatment is appropriate, safe and tailored specifically to you.
The frequency of visits depends on your specific situation and health goals. Initially, you may come in two to three times a week for treatment. As you progress, we’ll adjust the frequency based on your improvement and response to treatment. Many patients choose to continue their care once they are feeling stable which is called maintenance care. Ongoing maintenance visits allow us to continue supporting your journey towards better long-term health.
Absolutely. Chiropractic care is a safe and effective treatment for many issues, especially related to pain management. Our trained professionals use gentle techniques tailored to each individual, ensuring your safety and comfort are always the top priority. Like any treatment there are risks including soreness and bruising. The chance of severe risks are extremely rare and will be discussed with you at the time of your report of findings visit.
